instrument rental / purchase scheme:
The branch possesses a stock of musical instruments which are available for rent by branch students for a period of up to two years maximum. This rental scheme enables a child to study an instrument without the need for the parent to purchase what may sometimes be a costly instrument. If the child decides that the instrument does not suit them, then only a modest rental cost has been incurred. It is also a way to encourage children to take up instruments that are needed to fill branch needs, i.e. Grúpa Ceol & Céilí Bands etc. At the end of the two year rental period (or earlier if one wishes), the child may either purchase the instrument or return it.
